Running With Scissors Band are Shelley Lee Aldred and Stuart Comins who originally came together in the covers band ‘Qwax’ many years ago. As Running With Scissors Band they have produced 2 albums and perform live.
Between them they sing, play guitar, piano, saxophone, bass guitar, recorder, and percussion though not all at the same time.
Their genre is hard to pin down as their music is a mix of many styles and would probably be best described as ‘eclectic’.
They have been described as ‘a bit jazz’, ‘a bit prog’ ‘a bit indie’.
They write and perform their own material with a sprinkle of well-chosen covers.
