In a former life Mark was the founder member and guitarist with charismatic Welsh band The Storyville Mob. A band that graced many a festival stage and supported the likes of Dr Feelgood, Toyah, Slade and Mike Peters.
Similarly, Rich was in Melys. John Peel’s favourite Welsh band. With 5 albums and 11 John Peel sessions under his belt, plus numerous TV and festival appearances worldwide.
Their set is of original tracks on a variety of subjects that reflect the gritty world we live in. Any covers used, reflect their influences and come from days of yore. Way back to old blues hollers and obscure tracks but brought up to date with the unique mix of surf/rockabilly/alternative blues. You could liken Man At Q And M to a British leaning towards The Black Keys or The White Stripes. Instead of singing of life in the Mississippi we sing of life on council estates and unusual characters from our daily lives.
