City Sports and Cocktail Bar

A new venue in Bangor this year, the City Sports and Cocktail bar shows most major sporting events, has pool tables, digital darts boards and more. They host regular DJ and karaoke nights.

The Crosville Club

The Crosville Social Club is a members club which also hosts various events. It has a cafe which opens every morning, and also serves Sunday lunches.

The Harp

A cosy pub at the end of Bangor High Street, the Harp has a large outdoor seating area as well as an interesting cocktail menu.

The Nelson Arms

The Nelson Arms is a friendly pub which is supporting the local live music scene. They host open mic nights on the second and fourth Friday of each month, and have live bands on the first and third Thursday of the month. In addition they hold regular DJ nights.

Rascals Cafe Bar

Rascals has a downstairs area for sitting and playing pool, with an upstairs venue “The Loft” for live music. it’s a great space with its own bar, and has been used by Bangor University Rock and Metal Society for a number of their successful events.

Pontio

Pontio is Bangor University’s Arts and Innovation Centre. Throughout the year they show a number of films in their cinema, and host leading musicians in the venue.

The Belle Vue

One of Bangor’s longest established pubs, the Belle Vue hosts Bangor’s most popular open mic night every Tuesday. It is said it will continue until the end of time. They also host regular quiz and bingo nights.

The Skerries

The Skerries is Bangor’s live music venue with a reputation that brings along well known performers such as Grant Sharkey and SandraiseR. It supports local bands and musicians putting on gigs, and holds an open mic night on the first Sunday of each month.
