Charities

Each year Curiad Bangor Pulse raises money for two charities, one local and one national. This year we have been raising money for the national charity Mermaids which supports trans, non-binary, and gender diverse children, young people, and their families. Our local charity will be Coed Mawr food bank which is staffed entirely by volunteers, and supports approximately 45 families each week. Our donations link will remain open for some time following the festival.

In 2024 Curiad Bangor Pulse raised money for Cancer Research UK in memory of members of our local music community, Duncan Black and Emyr Ankst. We have also been raising money for Bangor Cathedral Foodbank. All profits from the festival were split equally between these two charities. £1000 was raised – many thanks.

In 2023 Curiad Bangor Pulse raised £456, which was being split between Amser I Siarad and Bangor Cathedral Foodbank.

In 2022 Curiad Bangor Pulse raised £830 for Ukraine.
