An acoustic duo playing blues/folk/jugband style music.
Geoff Beaumont: 5 & 7 string fretless banjos, mandolin, guitar, jugs, penny whistle, lead and harmony vocals.
Andy Bob Beaumont: Guitar, kazoo, lead and harmony vocals.
They have been playing music together ever since they were kids – it’s a family thing. Geoff was a founder member of the Ginger Jug Band which was locally famous in the Kent region in the late 1960s and Andy Bob played with the Rub-a-dub Jug Band in Anglesey in the 1970s. In 2000 they decided to gig formally as brothers and played at Broadstairs Folk Week for many years as well as other small festivals and folk clubs. In spite of being geographically distant they have made a concerted effort to keep doing gigs where they can.
